3rd Bde 82nd ABN MP
This page is dedicated to the Military Policemen who served with the 3rd Bde, 82nd Abn Div in Vietnam, February 1968 to December 1969. We started out in I Corps near Hue-Phu Bai at Camp Rodriguez, adjacent to Camp Eagle. We worked closely with the 101st. We moved down south to III Corps and half the platoon went to Phu Loi and the other half went to Camp Red Ball near Saigon.
40th Anniversary of the Golden Brigade’s Service in Vietnam – Dallas, TX. April 11 & 12, 2008.
The 3rd Brigade held a reunion to celebrate the deployment to Vietnam 40 years ago. There were over 250 people at the Dallas Fort Worth Hilton Executive Conference Center, a beautiful, high class hotel located in Grapevine, near the Dallas Fort Woth Airport. We had a welcome dinner, Texas Barbeque style, on Friday night at the Austin Ranch, right next to the hotel. There was a magnificent gala reunion dinner on Saturday night in the International Ballroom with MG (Ret) Bolling, the original Brigade Commander, as the guest speaker. The team responsible for putting this reunion together did an outstanding job. A good time was had by all! The only complaint I had was that only five MPs showed up. Maybe we will have a better turnout at the next one.
