I recently received the following email from SFC Hom, 173rd MP Platoon, in Jalabad, Afghanistan.  We are proud of the job our Airborne brothers are doing in the War on Terrorism and I am happy to post his photos.

I contacted you several months ago about the MP's being back in the 173rd ABN BDE. I am now finaly getting to send you some pictures of my MP platoon. Just for clarification, we are part of the HHC 173rd Special Troops Battalion (Airborne), 173rd ABCT.

Is there a way to pay some respects to our fallen ABN MP's. We lost SPC James M. Finley of Lebanon MO and our MP platoon Medic PFC Andrew J. Shields of Battleground WA on 31 May 2008 in Jalalabad Afghanistan. We are nearing the end of our 15 month deployment and heading back to Bamberg Germany where our Battalion and Company currently reside due to the fact that new barracks are being built for us in Italy in order for us to colocate with the rest of the 173rd ABCT. I am also attaching the 173rd STB (ABN) Distiguished Unit Insigina.

I would like the rest of the ABN MP communtiy to know that the 173rd MP's are back for the 1st time since Vietnam.
